Rust Ratings & Reviews
- David Michael KelsallDecember 24, 2025Low key western but very well acted
- dendzaNovember 30, 2025Not bad movie, can be watched
- Plexxor the Pretty GoodMay 29, 2025What a powerful movie! The bleakness of the time is pervasive. Cinematography is exceptional. Just gut wrenching life with it's uncontrollable fervor running it's course over and through you like you have absolutely no say in what happens. Helluva story with tears streaming down your face; happy, sad, and just glad to have experienced it from afar.
- Jason LaytonMay 7, 2025Only 2 kinds of westerns, good and bad. Good ones are rare.
- W Chaz BonneyMay 7, 2025Great movie...stellar cast, the writing acting and cinematography was top notch
- bogometerMay 26, 2025A classic journey of redemption and discovery set among spectacular western scenes. A bit long and predictable but worth the ride at least once.
- ricomckeeOctober 11, 2025Rust is a good movie that because of the tragedy surrounding the film which also resulted in crew and casting changes due to delays missed out on being a great movie. The cinematic lens that the cinematographer held was brilliant and is the true star. The story is that of modern westerns filled with despair and desperation. However, it goes on too long without enough action and a lack of character development from the other leads outside of Baldwin and the young actor playing his grandson. Josh Hopkins does well but doesn’t turn in the performance needed and instead appears one dimensional and only focused on the law. For a movie over two hours the lack of emotional depth and character development makes the film feel longer and less satisfying. Still this is not a bad film… it just has flaws that keep it from being great.
- CubaneAugust 17, 2025Seems very much like Alec Baldwin woke up one day and decided he wanted to LARP as a badass wild west outlaw. So he found a director and a studio willing to back him, murdered a photographer on set to get some headlines, and expected the rest to just work itself out. Thankfully this was a complete box office bomb, so it's unlikely his "ideas" will be humored by a major studio again. The movie itself is fairly predictable, clearly showing its low-budget and rushed nature in some spots, but with some decent action and cinematography showing through occasionally.
- rampage98May 11, 2025A good end to the epic journey that this movie took to create. Hosted in the mountains of Montana, it is a decent enough tale that cost such a tragedy.
- Oʂɯαʅԃσ RσყҽƚƚMay 4, 2025Definitely worth the watch. Good acting, good story line, and it was all well done. I didn't find it slow at all. Captured our attention from the start, and the characters all made you sympathize with each of them in one way or another.
- Rob MacPhersonJune 7, 2025Great story so sad about the accident
- capt8botAugust 14, 2025Really good! Would definitely recommend.
- dihartnellJuly 1, 2025Its 30 mins is pretty slow. Its ok.
- Shane WhitehouseJuly 22, 2025Great storyline highly entertaining
- NJuly 19, 2025Hollywood sacrifice with this movie. RIP Director who got “accidentally shot” The boys acting was great. These types of films are hard to make good and this one didn’t cut my mustard
