Robin Hood Ratings & Reviews
- Kevin WardJuly 14, 2025Forgot to log this one in midst of my Oscar film cram session. We watched this with the kids because…..I’m not sure why. I didn’t remember liking it initially and I probably liked it a tad less this time. It’s sometimes hard finding a movie that will appeal to all five of us. We often end up landing on random PG-13 action/adventure fare and this was one that popped up. I will say some of the action sequences are pretty good. There’s a horse chase scene that traverses multiple levels of this medieval village that looked pretty cool in parts. Aside from that though, movie is just pretty bland from the performances to the story to the musical score etc. Completely watchable as a family movie night, but not memorable in the least.
- 匚卂尺ㄥFebruary 4, 2025I ordered this film and then realised the appalling reviews it had got, nevertheless it came I watched, I love my films but this was the strangest film I have seen. It had good action through out, great scenery and some stunning sets, that being said I simply could not keep my attention on it, just seemed all wrong, after an hour I turned it off which is not my way, can't figure out what's missing but It's extremely difficult to watch?? Well I gave it another look without the preconceptions I had from reading the bad reviews which is what spoiled my first attempt to watch it, I expected it to be a load of rubbish. If you view it as a completely different slant and interpretation it's not bad at all, in fact it's something different done very well. Some customers have assumed that Little John is portrayed by a black fellow, there is no Little John in this film, Jamie Fox's part is a Moor commander called Jahya, and there is no Will Scarlet in the vain of Robin's half brother its Will Tillman, this is why films get ambiguous reviews because people watch them then write about what they thought they saw rather than the actual film and its content and own merit. No merry band of men from Sherwood Forrest however the Forrest is mentioned in the last few minute, it's a film to be watched for it's own creative talent.
- Mister ArnMay 24, 2025"Robin Hood" revamps the timeless tale with a hefty budget, incorporating contemporary elements that don't necessarily enhance the narrative. The film is packed with extravagant action sequences, heavily relying on CGI to the point where it sometimes resembles a video game more than a movie.
