Riding Bean Ratings & Reviews
- Agent WoodJanuary 17, 2026A great little anime tilt of the hat towards the end of a decade that was the 80's. Definetly see the Blues Brothers influence with Chicago & over the top police chases. The soulful sounds of "David Garfield and Friends" is a terrific touch, they even went as far as releasing the soundtrack.
- flavo43January 2, 2026Riding Bean is pure late‑’80s anime adrenaline—loud, fast, and unapologetically over the top. From the opening moments, the film launches into non‑stop action, delivering car chases so wild and inventive they practically redefine the term. Bean Bandit, the near‑mythical courier behind the wheel, anchors the chaos with a mix of brute force, deadpan humour, and impossible driving skills. The animation style is bold and energetic, perfectly suited to the film’s relentless pace. Shootouts erupt with explosive flair, vehicles tear through Chicago’s streets with cartoonish intensity, and the whole thing maintains a playful tone that keeps it fun rather than overwhelming. The comedy lands well, balancing the mayhem with a wink and a grin. At just under an hour, Riding Bean doesn’t waste a second. It’s fast, fun, funny, and proudly excessive—a cult classic that delivers exactly what it promises: car chases, car chases, and more car chases.
