- Mr Walker15. januar 2026My eyeballs are still recovering from Bruno Forzani & Hélène Cattet (LET THE CORPSES TAN) latest feast of riches. A kitschy, sumptuous and at times grotesque 007 meets Danger: Diabolik Eurospy pastiche. It's a surreal dream of morphing narrative and Lynchian plotting, Every frame is impossible to turn away from and each passing minute tightens it cinematic spell as the mind spins in its web of intrigue. It may not make much sense but that deliberate ambiguity is part of the allure...and why I will be returning to rewatch it soon.

- Kevin Ward30. juni 2025If rating on vibes alone, this would probably be five stars. The 70’s spy thriller / giallo aesthetic saturates every corner of every frame. The retro inspired spy tech and gadgetry is some of the most I’ve seen. Mirrored shots, split diopters, add to the spy/gialli vibes and look gorgeous on the big screen. Gloved and masked assailants galore—perhaps too much. There are so many mask reveals. Mask upon mask upon mask. We’re talking Mission: Impossible 2 level. Certainly on some level that is part of the loving homage, however, it makes the film feel very convoluted and hard to follow—at least on first watch. And for 87 minutes, this felt very long. Coming out of the theater, I would have sworn it was 2 hours. Haven’t seen Cattet/Forzani other features, but this definitely has me curious to see more. Highly stylized romp, definitely worth scoping out for vibes alone.
