- PsynisterAugust 25, 2025If you go into this movie for a fun fantasy B movie experience over a pizza with your girl on the couch and the lights turned low then you’ll have a great evening! If you go into it with any sort of knowledge about the real Red Sonja and the greater world lore of the Conan universe then this movie will be a huge disappointment. But for what it was, a generic sword swing action film it was mildly good. The lead who played Sonja did a good job with what she was given, the action was entertaining, and the story was just enough to get you through the runtime without getting bored. Was this a Red Sonja movie? No. Was it a fun but forgettable watch? I’d have to say yes. Do I recommend it? I can confidently say yes to that as well.

- DavCharAugust 27, 2025If you like 80's style cheesy women warrior-type shows (like Xena Warrior Princess) then this is the movie for you. Attractive young woman in a skimpy outfit kicking butt all the time. Great fight scenes (even if improbable) and a decent plot.

What I got was an Epic Adventure with many Heroes, Many Brave warriors, Mythical creatures, Kings and Mad Men, and lost children becoming all the above. Worth the watch would love to see the sequel, as long as it is as epic as this was. Fantastic Acting, Plot and, storyline. Bravo to the director and all involved.
- Scott SmithFebruary 15, 2026I'm a sucker for sword and sorcery movies, so I was an easy target for this one. It looks good, has some good battle scenes, and a decent story. The acting is hit-or-miss among the cast. Overall, it was an quick and entertaining 2 hours.

- ርልዪረAugust 25, 2025I've become so used to remakes of 80's movies being bad, and this one sits right there with the others. At first appearance you can see our main character actress who plays Sonya is not made for the role she's in. They should have given the role to an unknown female bodybuilder type actor. Not a soft skinned, unscared, model type. That, right away ruined the movie for me. I continued to watch hoping the rest of the movie would make up for this, but it didn't. I felt like I was watching a bad version of the Gladiator movie. When the other characters lack depth, or originality the movie became stale, boring, and un insightful.

- Paul KalkhofNovember 7, 2025So this wasn't great. Or even good. It looks cool, the story is alright if not extremely vanilla and generic, and less about the existing lore. They really needed someone to train Matilda Lutz for combat as the action sequences are not that great. It obviously had budgetary limitations, but with a reworking of dialogue and some better action choreography, and maybe some more exploitation film elements it would have been really good fun lofi fantasy like the director's Solomon Kane.
