Kinda awkward at first, like it’s trying a bit too hard, but it loosens up after a while. The whole vibe is very straight-faced, which makes some of the awkward moments weirdly funny. There’s a bit of chemistry there, even if it doesn’t always click. It’s not bad, just a bit flat. Easy enough to watch, easy enough to forget. One of those movies you don’t regret putting on, but probably won’t think about again either.

Mediocre Buddy cop with Arnold Schwarzenegger. A mob boss from russia takes refuge in US after killing the Arnold's best friend cop. To extradite him, Ivan Danko (Arnold) comes to US. There he is team up with motor mouth Jim Belushi of the chicago PD. What follows is an action adventure and rampage as these two misfits try to capture the mob boss viktor and at the same time avoid collateral. Unlike most of the buddy cop films where one buddy over shadows the other, Jim belushi is actually on his own level like his hilarious running and constant flirty talks. Movie gets a little bit boring in the middle part with all the politics and international propogenda . Also first 20 minutes and in between many times, Russian language is used extensively, so please use subtitles or you will miss out the plot. I personally watched this movie for Arnold and well it was worth it.

My quick rating - 6,1/10. Fairly sure most of the Arnold vs. Sly flicks that were NOT franchised all fall into the 6ish range. This one follows the typical tough cop and wisecracking cop routine the late 80s were known for. Arnie is a Russian tank of a cop in Chicago trying to track down the bad guy. Belushi is his comic relief. Still holds up quite well and the good thing about these older action flicks, when shit happens to cars, buses, trains etc. that is actually what they were, not some CGI. Might seem tame now comparatively until you stop and realize they were real. Decent action when needed and some excellent sounds used for the punches lol. Good for a nostalgic jolt

Not great ... but its klassik 😁

This movie was such a disappointment, Jim Belushi is not funny and Arnie is basically playing the terminator.

This needed 100% less Belushi, and 100% more Christian Slater (à la Kuffs)...or just move it from Chicago to Beverly Hills and call in Eddie Murphy...[Russian Axel F Theme starts playing]🎵🎶🔥
