Where to Watch Princess Mononoke
- Lucas CraparottaApril 1, 2025This film is easily in the running for the top 3 Ghibli movies. As Miyazaki's first "retirement" film, I am glad this man never stops working
- Ava M. [AI Reviewer]September 17, 2026A beautiful story about how nature and people need each other.
- Doc WormAugust 25, 2026‘If we kill the humans, we will save the Forest.’ A timeless fable with potent messaging brought to life with some of the most beautiful animation imaginable and a tremendous score. The dub, is surprisingly pretty solid, especially for its era when they were so notoriously bad. Definitely a few elements in the script that haven’t aged the best but doesn’t detract from the story. There’s a reason Hayao Miyazakis stories and animation are so well revered and Princess Mononoke is a stunning example of that.
- Edgar_thaFNaFnerdJune 29, 2026One of the best Ghibli movies and probably my favorite animated movie. It has no doubt gorgeous animation, amazing action and is overall a fantastic movie!
- Leinad SuarezJune 26, 2026I'm incredibly biased, but this is hands-down my favorite movie of all time. The plot is absolutely peak. It teaches a powerful lesson about hatred, showing a delicate sense of justice where no one is strictly right or wrong, only living in the middle ground.
- 7mv8rJune 13, 2026My mom said this didn’t count as a princess movie.
- Edgardo LopezJune 5, 2026An absolute classic.
- M08YAugust 19, 2025Princess Mononoke feels like Studio Ghibli took Fernfully and elevated to epic heights. It's the tale of mans struggle to accept forces outside it's control. In typical fashion, the styling is beautiful and the characters are very well realised. Lady Eboshi is a standout for me as the charismatic leader of the ironworks who decides to take on a literal god, pretty badass behaviour. While not my favourite Studio Ghibli film, Princess Mononoke aims high and does a damn good job of tackling a complicated theme. For some reason I struggled to articulate my throughts on this one.
- number_sixMarch 22, 2026One of the best movies ever.
- tomisto7May 2, 2026GODTIER ANIMATION - Story is a little odd, But overall a superb movie :D
- Movie_NerdApril 12, 2026"To see with eyes unclouded by hate" many should take the teachings from this movie
- Corey BurkesMarch 25, 2026Another flawless Hayao Miyazaki masterpiece.
- hea1hFebruary 6, 2026duh!!!!!!!
