Saw today in early access! As Churchill said, we won the war because we had the better meteorologists! Great movie about D-day 🔥 Happy Memorial Day!

Who knew that a movie about the weather on D-Day could be so interesting? The movie is great, the story is engaging, and it has a great music score... the only thing I can maybe say negatively is, and first and foremost I want to clarify that I love Brendan Fraser, I just didn't buy him as Eisenhower... I don't know what it was, but I felt that he wasn't the right actor for the role, he wasn't BAD at all, but he lacked certain seriousness and "aura", if I may. Maybe it's just me than I'm too accustomed to see him in less "serious" roles. The rest of the cast, impeccable...

🪖I never know what to expect when going into a WW2 film, let alone one that's main plot is trying to forecast the weather. But this film achieves a great amount of suspense and excitement even if what's being argued over is something we so easily take for granted in our daily lives. The ticking clock of what we know is an inevitability, D-Day, but seeing it happen through Andrew Scott's and Brendan Fraser's quality performances as Dr. James Stagg and Dwight Eisenhower respectively, this both sets the stakes of what a monumental and historic day that would be in 1944 France, and the tragedy that is war as a whole. A very powerful and excellent film that any history buff or anyone interested in the time period will throughly enjoy.

Welp….my worst nightmare came true. I’m in the handicapped seats and a dude just got out of a wheelchair and slowly ascended the stairs to sit in the row behind me. Couldn’t think about anything else the whole film. He was probably a veteran smh lmao omg ANYWAYS Short comment was so tacky. We’ve all seen that put-down format before smh The slamming of the piano was so extra, just like Scott’s performance lol Just shoehorned the message into the main monologue huh Love the idea that the one dude just ate crow for the rest of his life. There’s no coming back from that - i don’t care what the movie tries to sell us Big cast! All the overacting and sentimentality, was it trying to be Oscar bait??? I’m really sorry to Con O’Neill but I don’t believe anyone can take him seriously in these powerful roles with that voice. Him and Shea Whigham both do that for me smh it’s a me problem - I know I’ve still gotta ask….was this the best way to invade Watched at Warren Regal 21 Currently Ranked #57/89 in 2026 Ranked

Went into this movie completely blind. All I knew was that it was a WW2 film. I was a little skeptical when I found out the main character was a meteorologist—that didn’t exactly scream excitement. But wow, was I wrong. This turned into a total stress bomb from beginning to end, which is exactly the kind of movie I love (think Whiplash, The Departed, Uncut Gems, etc.) Amazing story, great execution. Highly recommended. I’d give it 5 stars but for some reason plex is only allowing to do 4.5.
