Not even worth a half a star. Do NOT watch

They tried… barely. The acting was bad, the CGI Predator looked weird, and instead of an actual costume it felt like someone threw on zentai tights with random junk glued on. You barely see any of the Predator’s weapons in action either, just awkward off-screen explosions and random combustions that feel cheap and lazy. Honestly, this is the kind of thing you should only watch if you are on something. I watched it sober, and wow, I regret the time I gave it. Thank God I can multitask, because actually focusing on this was rough enough already. Do yourself a favor and leave it on in the background, because giving even a single brain cell to this was painful.

What an unfortunate waste of time. How was this even a Predator movie? Why did everyone talk so weird? All the bad guys sounded like an emo James Hetfield. The good guys all sounded ESL. If it was a little cheesier it could be considered good camp; this was not it.

This isn’t a polished studio reboot, it’s The Asylum doing what they do best: cashing in on a big franchise with their own scrappy knock‑off. Predator: Wastelands takes the familiar alien hunter and drops him into a post apocalyptic Earth, where he slices through gangs of warlords and somehow becomes a folk hero to the locals. It’s pitched as gritty sci‑fi, but the vibe is pure Asylum: lean runtime, modest effects and a premise that feels like it was brainstormed in a boardroom the moment Predator: Badlands was announced. David Chokachi and the rest of the cast play it straight, which only adds to the camp. The Predator isn’t lurking in jungles or playing cat‑and‑mouse, he’s front and center, mowing down bad guys with B‑movie swagger. The production values are thin, the CGI serviceable at best, but that’s exactly the Asylum formula: quick turnaround, shameless mimicry and a movie that knows it’s riding the coattails of the “real” Predator film. A textbook Asylum cash‑in. Streaming this is less about high expectations and more about enjoying the audacity. It knows exactly what kind of movie it is, a low‑budget echo of the franchise.

    Awful. Poor filming

“Predator: Wastelands” is a mockbuster riding the wake of a real Predator film, built more for mockbuster-hunters who chase schlock than anyone looking for substance. It’s cheap, trend-surfing, and that context matters. If you walk in expecting B-movie acting and paper-thin storytelling, it delivers precisely that. Just don’t expect nuance, depth, or anything resembling a real Predator film.
