In the north eastern part of the country partisans of different political orientation begin to question about the future of the reborn country. A communist unit in Friuli kills a group of non-communist partisans. Was the massacre ordered by the Communist Party, was the cruel commander to decide it, or was it simply the war with all its stupid acts?
