With Guttenberg gone, the lowbrow comedy sinks even lower than expected. The series shifted from adult comedy to kid-friendly slapstick with each installment, and this entry feels especially watered down. Without Mahoney, the charm’s gone, and even with him, the franchise was already running on fumes.
