Do szkoły policyjnej, pod opiekę komendanta Lassarda (George Haynes) trafia bardzo dużo ludzi, którzy na pierwszy rzut oka nie pasują do siebie. Jest wśród nich między innymi fanatyk broni strzeleckiej Tackleberry (David Graf), twardy i bardzo silny Hightower (Bubba Smith), wystraszona i skromna Hooks (Marion Ramsey), umiejący udawać wszystkie odgłosy Jones (Michael Winslow) oraz Mahoney (Steve Guttenberg) - drobny cwaniaczek, który zakochuje się w Thompson (Kim Cattrall). Mimo wielu różnic wszyscy się zaprzyjaźniają. Niestety na drodze do ukończenia szkoły staje porucznik Harris (G. W. Bailey), który zrobi wszystko, aby uprzykrzyć im pobyt w szkole i doprowadzić do ich rezygnacji.

- Stuart Guberman5 stycznia 2025This was the best of this series. They got progressively stupider with each subsequent sequel and I kinda lost interest after Steve Guttenberg left after PA IV.

Steve Guttunberg and Kim Cattrall lead a Cast of fun Characters in the original, bawdy farce. With low brow College humour played to perfection the story of a group of misfits who join the Police Force is a riotous comedy that unlike many of its sequel's is as fresh today as on its original Cinematic release in 1984. With it's wonderful original Cast, quirky Characters and outrageous situations few 80's comedies hit the mark like the original "Police Academy". It's simply great fun. Arrest me if it isn't.

What it lacks in plot complexity, it makes up for in spirit — a cheeky, good-natured salute to the men and women in blue. It’s broad, brisk and brimming with goofy camaraderie, making it a fun watch even decades later.

- Jamie Talbot26 lipca 2025A great classic comedy. Some jokes haven’t particularly aged too well with the times today but most are still quite funny. The characters seem very random and people you would never group together but that’s what makes this film work. Worth a watch!
