- maddiechism6 de dezembro de 2025there are these recurring motifs that give this film an almost hymnal sort of feel, its just enchanting. it managed to utterly transport me to the misty, ethereal in-between-world that permeates the very being of the landscape the film is set against. i believe miranda is botticelli's venus, when she transitioned through the veil she emerged on the other side, born from the shell. irma was found by michael, he even carries the name of the archangel. and in the painting a male angel is carrying one of the girls. leaving one girl by mirandas side. i dont know where miss mcgraw fits into this reading though. there are also all the hallmarks of an alien abduction as mentioned by others. stopping clocks, missing memories, strange lights, unexplainable wounds. just an awesome movie all around. and i wont even get into the lesbianism of this film, i could spend eternities talking about it. poor sara. 5/5 and made me write this pretentious review

Feel like this definitely inspired Twin Peaks and also Donnie Darko !! PS if I find out David Lynch never saw this film, I’ll lower this score to a 2/5 then disappear from Earth
