Passions from the Past

First, they competed for their father's affections, and later for who would run the family business. The conflict came to a head, however, when Kai stole his brother's great love, Anne (Katja Studt). Disappointed and hurt, Tom broke with his family and emigrated to Australia. Eighteen years have passed since then. Now, after a tragic incident, Tom finds himself in Malaysia. At the luxury hotel owned by Peter Gruber (Robert Giggenbach), an old family friend, he finds a job as a diving instructor. Gruber wants to expand his "Ocean Turtle Resort." Marine biologist Sarifah (Raven Hanson) is determined to prevent this, as the expansion on a previously untouched stretch of beach would destroy the nesting grounds of the sea turtles. As Tom gets to know the fiery animal rights activist better and develops feelings for her, he inevitably finds himself caught in the crossfire.
