Three brothers with their partners and nephews prepare the Christmas Eve table. Children run and sing madly but one of the uncles opens Pandora's box in the middle of the kitchen: he refuses to let them have dinner with the patriarch locked up in the nursing home. What they don't know is that while they are justifying themselves and scolding, the patriarch has already beaten them to it. Grandpa has already escaped even from the pills: he refuses to let his family spend Christmas without Santa Claus.
