Paddington in Peru Ratings & Reviews
- RyezooFebruary 13, 2025I was very excited to return to theaters to see Paddington. 1 was great and 2 was a 10/10 for me. This one, while a fun visit with one of my favorite bears, falls a few marmalade sandwiches short. Easily the weakest and the change of director might be what set this astray. There is some fun wacky hijinxs Paddington gets into and the charm is there. This story is just a little lackluster. Still worth a watch but probably at home.
- assassin007March 5, 2025Great family film. A film you can sit back, grab some snacks and just enjoy.
- florian8315February 24, 2025Enjoyable Exceeded my expectations
- Andrew CloutJuly 4, 2025Bloody marvellous! The Paddington franchise is a masterpiece.
- Movie_NerdApril 4, 2025Not as good as the first two movies but a solid one to look with my little brother
- Bob KitchenJune 15, 2025Nowhere as good as the first two.
- Matthias_812April 2, 2025Off the bat the missing pieces with the change in directors and lack of Sally Hawkins is felt. Peru just feels less genuine, trying too hard to force that warm wholesome feeling the past movies established naturally. Trading the streets of London for the Peruvian jungle wasn't a terrible choice but writing it with an angle of a goofy greedy gold villain(s) turned this into like a slapstick Indiana Jones adventure. While it seems like I'm feeling negative about the return of Paddington, there's still a lot of wholesomeness and innocence from the character. Peru was stacked against greatness, times two actually, with the odds against it. Came out disappointed as it just didn't hold up to the standard Paddington has been built on.
- diego.574April 22, 2025It's a bear 🐻, who doesn't love bears, it's a familiar movie, and I like to watch talking bears.
- Lucas CraparottaApril 17, 2025Paddington in Peru was a movie. The worst of the three but still a fun watch.
- jmoroni78May 18, 2025Not nearly as good as the first two, and far fewer laughs.
- Hope EmmanuelMay 7, 2025This movie made us lose all our brain cells, what was that?! Fake plot, cringy scenes. Gawd, don't watch it. Save yourself from pain and misery.
- Jamie TalbotMay 2, 2025Another great Paddington movie filled with fun. It’s a great watch with some funny gags. Definitely my least favourite of the 3 films but still great nonetheless.
- Rob Logan | The Geek GenerationFebruary 22, 2025Paddington in Peru doesn't quite live up to the first two in the franchise, but it's still a delightful movie. I've generally found that when you leave the main setting of a franchise to travel abroad, you've lost a character in a way, especially how the Paddington films portray London. Even more changes happened with the third outing, as Paul King is no longer the director and Emily Mortimer has taken on the role of Mary Brown from Sally Hawkins. While Mortimer is certainly capable, no one can replicate the whimsical charm that Hawkins brought to the role. As a major part of the previous two is about the strong bond between Mary and Paddington, Hawkins' absence was felt here. Those changes aside, there's still lots to enjoy in this movie, as Paddington is his usual polite, but accident-prone, self, the Browns continue their evolution, and several new characters make their debut. Saying this is the weak point of the trilogy isn't saying much, as it remains one of the highest-quality franchises in modern cinema.
- Dave BarnesMarch 19, 2025Not as good as the earlier movies, but gets better towards the end. 🐻
- sndys7March 2, 2025Very childish and the story was already clear in the first 10 minutes.
