The idea about the purge (just a different kind of stabbing) set in this universe was a fun idea. Can't say anything you don't already know about this movie, it follows the plot line, and sticks to rules for these types of movies. But, the movie still made me laugh and feel warm around the heart ❤️ The chemistry between our two leading roles is amazing, you actually believe in them ! Date night ? You can't go wrong with "One Night Only"

Pretty sure that would be the transitive property of algebra, not geometry! Sorry! Why would people not stock up more on condoms? Talk about missed income! And why would he go back to the house he knew was explicitly being used for sex lmao Using the exact shot and song from the trailer was tacky as hell lol Genuinely very funny! And a surprising number of fun cameos! Unfathomable star power if I’m being honest. It would take me too long to type out every person i was excited about Thought the pacing was exceptional! Had me engaged the entire time and essentially flew by! Super cheesy and unbelievable, just like a real rom-com! Agreed with the politics allllll the way until the end. Seemed like a weird sex-negative take that felt unnecessary and incongruent! Looking at his other films tho, it does fit the theme pretty well. - Luke EricksonSeptember 14, 2026This movie kind of surprised me. The set up of this being a one night Purge of sex was lost on me in the trailers. The government now tags everyone and one night a year everyone can have sex with strangers. Once Flavor Flave arrived to announce the countdown to the one night, I knew I was in for a good time. Just throw out all the things wrong with that premise and it's a pretty fun Rom Com. I like Callum Turner and he does a great job.

It has never been so difficult to get to know someone on a deeper level and build a strong connexion. The fictional, interventionist setting serves a zany premise worthy of the finest dystopias, using the absurd to make us question our understanding of intimacy. Whilst the film is lively, fast-paced and sprinkled with tender humour, let's see how the film ages.
