Night of the Reaper Ratings & Reviews
- Paul KalkhofSeptember 19, 2025Lots of dead dogs in this so be forewarned. It happens off screen but there are quite a few. This is a pretty solid little thriller. I was expecting more of a slasher film, but that's okay. The kill count is pretty low, unless you count dogs. It feels more like House of the Devil in terms of pacing. Some scenes are intense and it relies more on dread and atmosphere than jump scares. I don't want to give anything away other than the dead dogs. Watch if you are more in the mood for a psychological thriller than a traditional slasher.
- Clarence BoddickerJanuary 31, 2026Yet another slasher, this time retro style, but with a good story and some nice acting. I really liked it.
- righteo45November 4, 2025Fairly good story. I'd say worth the watch.
- dulanjanasangeethNovember 2, 2025Excellent movie
- The Allen HomeNovember 1, 2025The best thing about this movie is the '80s nostalgia, even though there isn't much more than a brief MTV moment, and the use of VHS tapes throughout. It's filmed well, but the story is merely so-so at best. There's nothing really scary about it. At best, I'd say this is one of those films you have playing in the background during a Halloween party.
- cat_packOctober 22, 2025Honestly pretty good, I was pleasantly surprised
- thesubcon3October 20, 2025Pretty predictable but overall decent
- Joshua CoffmanOctober 8, 2025Highly entertaining! Thoroughly enjoyed the movie. Can be a bit slow moving at times.
- ZokkiieOctober 5, 2025It looks great at first — moody lighting, solid retro vibe — but it doesn’t hold up. The story drags, the scares fall flat, and the twist just feels random. A stylish setup wasted on a messy script.
- PureSp1r1tOctober 3, 2025Excellent movie! Jessica Clement was incredible!
- SpoonsOctober 3, 2025A solid Halloween watch with style but no soul. Night of the Reaper mixes Scream’s slasher thrills with Fincher’s detective mood but can’t decide which film it wants to be. Slick, tense and well-shot, just not one you’ll remember next year.
- Steven AndersonSeptember 26, 2025In the constant churn of new entertainment, this movie is pretty good with a cool twist.
- Jason R.September 25, 2025Was rolling along pretty strong and then got a little wonky in the last act… at least for my taste. I’d have preferred no twist and a different route that led towards a sequel. The first two thirds were solid
- andrewturner11September 24, 2025Went into this one blind and was not disappointed. Not predictable... Really enjoyed this one.
- Josh CSeptember 24, 2025Wasn't impressed by this at all. It felt very RL Stine. I'm mostly impressed by Shudder films, but this was a bit of a let down since it was neither scary or exciting. The dialogue and the acting just seemed off.
