Dr. Ernest Tindal kills his wife and plants clues that point to her lover, Frank Marlan. Frank's sister Vera enlists the aid of report Russell Kirk in proving her brother's innocence. Detective McKinley thinks that gangster Jack Reed is involved and shoots Reed when he attempts to escape.
