Night Always Comes begins as a tedious, almost two-hour-long slog, but it eventually shifts into a more engaging narrative. However, it’s a journey that doesn't lead to a satisfying destination. The film is a relentless look at someone's dismal life, and while it had some tense moments, it left me with a deeply unsettling feeling—the kind that makes you think, "Life sucks sometimes." It's a film that will likely resonate with some viewers, but leave others feeling like their time was wasted.

A woman makes a series of unbelievably bad decisions, including confronting dangerous people, all to buy a house she can't afford. The family relationships feel fake, the characters are unlikable, and a key betrayal comes out of nowhere, completely ruining the plot. It’s a frustrating and illogical film with some of the laziest writing I've seen in a while. A total waste of time.
