- Mister Arn2d ago“Mystery Submarine” is a 1963 World War II movie about a British deception involving a captured German U-boat and an attempt to protect the ships traveling in Allied convoys. I can’t say it was much more than passable. There isn’t much action. Most of the film concerns the interactions among the submarine’s crew and the risks they take to carry out the deception. A few underwater scenes are particularly unconvincing. It is clearly a low-budget production.
