My Darling Clementine Ratings & Reviews
- eif999July 9, 2025Unfortunately saddled with a title that’s now reminiscent of a child’s song, this John Ford western is nearly perfect. Bleak and poetic. Hard and beautiful. This is the second telling of the Wyatt Earp story and this one is the best until the impossibility crowd-pleasing Tombstone came around. This is, however a better movie than the modern one. Not a wasted shot. Fonda and Mature were never better. A true essential western. Now if they could just change the title.
- Mister ArnMay 14, 2025Classic western enhanced by Ford's cinematography and Fonda's performance.
