Mulholland Drive

Mulholland Drive Ratings & Reviews
- makdelart8 januari 2026The essence of cinema! Everything is organised and interlinked like in a Swiss watch.
- Cubane17 december 2025This very much feels like the second season of a show that I never saw the first season of. After seeing it's a David Lynch film, it all made so much more sense. Not the past 150 minutes of whatever I just watched, but why people fawn over it so much. He's just one of those directors who could film himself having indigestion for 90 minutes and be drowned in accolades for it.
- LivewireAdmin6 december 2025Ugh, sometimes I feel like a fraud cinephile when I watch something like this and just don't vibe with it... Naomi Watts is phenomenal, easily the film’s strongest element. Her performance swings from wide-eyed optimism to complete emotional unraveling, and she gives the movie its only real anchor. Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough for me to connect with this overall. I’ve tried to get on Lynch’s wavelength, but his brand of surrealism just doesn’t click for me. The story felt intentionally opaque in ways that didn’t deepen the mystery so much as distance me from it. There are moments of real tension and visual brilliance, but they’re scattered between long stretches that feel disjointed from the main plot. Like the first diner sequence, which is memorable on its own but barely ties into anything else. After reading that it was originally meant to be a TV pilot, everything suddenly made sense: this feels like the first few episodes of a show that never got to pay off its threads. I can appreciate its ambition and atmosphere, but in the end, I was more frustrated than fascinated. I don't consider myself a dumb movie watcher but the last third of this film had me questioning if I was even paying attention to the rest of it lol
- Varun17 januari 2025This is my first time experiencing David Lynch’s works and I can see why he was revered. The atmospheres he creates with the cinematography and music is very dreamlike, strange and eerie. There’s an uncomfortableness brewing beneath the surface, the mystery is captivating and the finale reveal is very satisfying. This is the perfect movie to watch twice and unpack its different characters and symbolisms. Naomi Watts absolutely killed this role, especially towards the end her range is on full display. Also the scenes of sexual tension are crazy good, that one audition scene was intense af. I loved the intro dance scene, the editing effects are awesome. The Llorando song by Rebekah Del Rio that is played on stage is so goddamn beautiful, one of the best singing moments I’ve ever experienced. It’s kind of interesting that as I was watching most of the movie, I felt it’s disparate storylines and vibes were gonna end up disappointing me or that they were possibly overhyped, I wasn’t entirely captured but by the end of the film I felt like the entire experience was High Art. Lynch has the audience in the palm of his hands and packed this film with so many layers that both deeply enhances the story as well as makes great meta commentary on Hollywood. Rest in Peace David Lynch, I’m excited to view the rest of your highly praised filmography.
- Evan May21 september 2025Ambition and confusion, love and betrayal, dreams turning to nightmares—this isn’t just the Hollywood story but the human story. David Lynch prompts feelings both foreign and familiar. And Naomi Watts performs these dualities so effectively. This film isn’t for everyone, but it is about everyone.
- gabee9329 november 2025Fantastic movie. I was duped during the singing scene and was embarrassed for myself. Amazing acting. What a great strange film.
- Sophi Thornhill8 november 2025one of my favorites from Lynch. a strange, beautiful mind fuck.
- Jesse12 maj 2025Wow, this was excellent! I'm a somewhat recent fan of lynch and have been making my way through his films after finishing twin peaks. I love the sense of cohesion he brought to his work. This movie felt very lynchian while still leaving breathing room for symbolic interpretation. Amazing performance by Naomi Watts as well.
- remii3 november 2025Masterpiece
- mickerdoo29 oktober 2025Slow, weird and seemingly incoherent as only David Lynch can deliver. Only rewardingly eclipsed by two brief sexy scenes.
- roperm28 oktober 2025Can't believe it took me so long to watch this masterpiece. Mesmerising film.
- Don the Darth Knight CORLEONE14 juni 2025This film is Dave Lynch at his mindbending best. If you have an understanding of his pictures this is definitely one to check out...
- Hairon_p.h18 september 2025I can only say OMG
- Kevin Osinski14 september 2025This is one of those films you really have to see multiple times. The first time through you just let it wash over you. Then you go back and try to figure out what was really going on. And since there is no single "correct" answer, you can repeat this many times.
- MJ Media10 september 2025Edgy movie hard to follow plot. Disappointed.
