Mulholland Drive Ratings & Reviews
- Stairwaytothestars16h agoA fascinating and stunning masterpiece by David Lynch and his best film starring the amazing Naomi Watts! This complex mystery leaves clues throughout this mesmerizing visual feast. Silencio!
- VarunJanuary 17, 2025This is my first time experiencing David Lynch’s works and I can see why he was revered. The atmospheres he creates with the cinematography and music is very dreamlike, strange and eerie. There’s an uncomfortableness brewing beneath the surface, the mystery is captivating and the finale reveal is very satisfying. This is the perfect movie to watch twice and unpack its different characters and symbolisms. Naomi Watts absolutely killed this role, especially towards the end her range is on full display. Also the scenes of sexual tension are crazy good, that one audition scene was intense af. I loved the intro dance scene, the editing effects are awesome. The Llorando song by Rebekah Del Rio that is played on stage is so goddamn beautiful, one of the best singing moments I’ve ever experienced. It’s kind of interesting that as I was watching most of the movie, I felt it’s disparate storylines and vibes were gonna end up disappointing me or that they were possibly overhyped, I wasn’t entirely captured but by the end of the film I felt like the entire experience was High Art. Lynch has the audience in the palm of his hands and packed this film with so many layers that both deeply enhances the story as well as makes great meta commentary on Hollywood. Rest in Peace David Lynch, I’m excited to view the rest of your highly praised filmography.

- JesseMay 12, 2025Wow, this was excellent! I'm a somewhat recent fan of lynch and have been making my way through his films after finishing twin peaks. I love the sense of cohesion he brought to his work. This movie felt very lynchian while still leaving breathing room for symbolic interpretation. Amazing performance by Naomi Watts as well.
- justi7607June 14, 2025This film is Dave Lynch at his mindbending best. If you have an understanding of his pictures this is definitely one to check out...
- RyezooFebruary 14, 2025Not going to lie. At first I was not getting what the big deal was about this movie. Then the twist happened and then it ended. The more and more I thought about it, I began to understand just how clever this movie is. I can guarantee that on a rewatch I will love this movie even more. Just need some time before I rejump down that rabbit hole!
- HurnackattackFebruary 27, 2025Soft core porn. Shows the depravity of our modern storytellers. Also more like a fevered dream/nightmare in which nothing makes sense.
- DeAndre ConwayFebruary 20, 2025This movie was so incredibly boring it’s unreal the praise it gets. It took me 4 sittings just to finish it. The entire plot makes no sense at all. The “dreaminess” is there and it is artistic. But the movie as a whole is nightmare. (no pun intended) The weird acting where everything feels so off and fake it’s like watching a dream of a movie where people trying to act like they’re in a movie for the entire thing. It has its moments where you feel like you finally start to understand something just to be completely thrown off 5 seconds later. From start to finish the movie I was forcing myself to keep watching. I love the ambiguity of movies but this one’s a mess. Maybe I’m missing the mark completely and I don’t understand the appeal but I’ll be the odd one out and say this movie is not even worth watching.
