With the money her boyfriend left for his funeral, she leaves Scotland for Ibiza where she travels with her closest friend. The journey prompts a series of internal and external transformations for Morvern - ones which bring to light her experiences of grief, memory, freedom, and desire.

- Kevin WardJuly 2, 2025After finally seeing this, it’s clear Charlotte Wells’ Aftersun is heavily inspired by Lynn Ramsey’s work here. Narratively, thematically, visually they share so many similarities. Love them both, but I might be giving Aftersun an edge just because I watched it first. Highly recommend both though.
