Moonrise Ratings & Reviews
- Aditya PantDecember 21, 2025The stunning expressionistic opening scene with striking use of silhouettes had me sold. As the film progressed I was drawn more into this tale about inherited trauma, guilt and redemption
- springer666October 6, 2025Did you grow up with a bully? If so, you are wise to kill them. If it worked for this movie's protagonist, it can work for you.
- eif999January 26, 2025Watched the Criterion Channel version which is beautiful. Interesting that the film was originally a big-budget John Garfield film. Things changed, the cast of no names and the budget cut to nothing. A real treat. An anti-film noir. A dark damaged man find redemption after killing someone. Love this film.
