Millionenschwer verliebt
Réalisé par Mike EschmannDoing laundry for her adult son and bundling up old newspapers for her elderly mother are part of Lisa Roth's (Lea Hadorn) daily routine. She is also always there to help her partner, artist René Loosli (Daniel Rohr). But when she catches him having sex with another woman during his own art exhibition opening, Lisa has had enough. She packs her things and moves out on the spot. Luckily, she still has loyal friends. The gay receptionist Simon Berger (Erich Vock) grants Lisa asylum and finds her a job as a chambermaid in a five-star hotel, virtually overnight. A moment of carelessness - a dog escapes from the room of a wealthy guest - causes considerable damage, for which Lisa is held liable. In her financial distress, Lisa's acquaintance with the con artist Gabriella Schneider (Susanne-Marie Wrage) comes at just the right moment. The sophisticated lady introduces the innocent housewife to the art of deception. Disguised as hotel guests collecting money for an international aid organization, the two women wrap millionaire industrialist Martin Brodmann (Stefan Gubser) around their little fingers. At first, they only swindle him out of the amount of the compensation claim, since the CEO is responsible for Lisa's misfortune. But then Gabriella Schneider senses a big deal. She has a down payment transferred to her and disappears immediately. Lisa Roth is left behind: millions in love, but without money, and with a guilty conscience. After the management conference ends, father and son Brodmann leave Switzerland again. Martin has once again learned that he is only loved for his money. Lisa, on the other hand, is convinced that she has driven away the person who means the most to her. On St. Nicholas Day, there is a surprising reunion. Sometimes the most direct path to happiness is a detour.
