Megan Is Missing Ratings & Reviews
- JayJay van AardeMarch 26, 2025Can't whach only option was to add to whach list
- jonathanmochrie4d agoA movie that should be shown in all high schools. Stranger danger is a real thing.
- t4wt8August 17, 2025Pure exploitative snuff and pedo bait.
- Kevin WertzSeptember 2, 2025This one's a rough watch. If it wasn't for the poor acting, I might have thought it was an actual snuff film with an hour of meaningless home video clips leading up to it. Don't waste your time.
- DARTH VADERJanuary 18, 2026What absolute Dogshit this film was, I can't believe I just wasted 90 Mins of my life watching it! Whoever hasn't seen this, keep it that way because Megan Is Missing, doesn't deserve your viewing it's a 👎👎 down from me.
- Sophi ThornhillNovember 8, 2025Not scary, just offensively bad. truly an awful movie. even apart from the graphic r4pe scenes that were filmed using 15/16 year old actresses, the acting & dialogue is just *abysmal*. so many plot holes and it ends up solely relying on shock value to leave any lasting impact. the main reason that it has any semblance of success is because it’s often shared around by young teenagers who discover it on the “disturbing movie iceberg”. wish i could get that hour and a half back.
- alesandoval405August 19, 2025DONT WATCH IT AT NIGHT OR BY YOURSELF PLEASE ITS SCARY AND I CANT SLEEP NOW
- Allie TranAugust 1, 2025Honestly have to give it the credit it deserves solely based off of how disturbing it is.
- DigitalDisappointmentFebruary 12, 2025Terrifying, visceral, with enough of the real story to really make this movie hit you where it hurts. I didn't want to know the 'more' I learned about this story through the movie.
- David C.January 29, 2026I didn't think that the film was that gripping or something of substance. They basically took some original footage from a real case and speculated what may have happened, although nobody will ever know except for the assailant because there wasn't any substantial evidence aside from a small surveillance camera that lasted a matter of seconds... I gave this movie a poor rating because they took an actual incident and just added their loose imagination as to what may have happened, it seemed like it was slapped together with the original footage and made quickly and cheaply, that's just my opinion...
- alexa24601January 18, 2026This was an interesting movie. It really put into perspectives what could happen in your daily life it was a good movie. I just say beware and I understand the hype. I would definitely suggest to watch us alone. It’s scary but not in the sense that you need someone to be there it’s like a realization.
- willowhunt332August 4, 2025it was realllllly entertaining and i liked it a lot i like movies like this
- Dadda2763March 31, 2025Pretty good movie and a wild ending.
- LivewireAdminOctober 7, 2025I guess this was meant to be a cautionary tale of communicating with strangers online? If it was meant to be a horror movie, where were the scares? If it was meant to be a drama, where was the good acting? A lot of the dialogue was cringe, I don't know if the writer thought high school kids talk this way or that high school parties involve cocaine? c'mon dude.... I enjoy "found footage" movies as much as the next guy but this missed the mark of what kind of tension those movies can deliver. letterboxd: FilmPhanPA
- KGM SOSAOctober 9, 2025Famously branded as one of the most disturbing movies of all time, Megan Is Missing delivers exactly what it promises, though perhaps not quite the crown for most disturbing, it’s still an uncomfortably realistic descent into horror. The film drags a little early on & doesn’t offer much rewatchability, but once it hits its final act, it becomes ultra-disturbing, raw, & horrifyingly believable. What makes it so effective isn’t stylised gore or shock for shock’s sake, it’s how real it looks & feels. The events unfold with such mundane authenticity that when the horror finally hits, it hits like a truck. There’s no sugarcoating, no happy ending, no conclusion, just a sickening sense of dread that lingers long after the credits roll. The final act of Megan Is Missing is where the film’s infamy earns its reputation by dragging the viewer into an abyss few films dare to enter. What begins as typical found-footage drama spirals into a sinister portrayal of captivity & degradation that feels disturbingly authentic. The last twenty minutes abandon any sense of safety or cinematic distance, forcing the viewer into the perspective of the victims in a way that’s almost unbearable. Every sound, every moment of pleading, feels agonizingly real. It’s a sequence that doesn’t rely on special effects; Just the horror of what the camera chooses not to look away from; particularly the horrifying reveal of Megan’s fate inside the barrel it feels almost documentary-like in its authenticity. The image lingers, sickeningly believable & impossible to forget. By the time the credits roll, you’re left with a hollow, nauseating silence; the kind that only comes from witnessing something that feels too real. It’s not entertainment; it’s a warning. By the end, you’re left speechless & shaken It’s not a film you enjoy… it’s a film you endure.
- dodgyroge74@yahoo.co.ukDecember 8, 2025This film had so much potential using that story, but it faltered along the way. Overall, not a bad film, but the final 20-25 minutes might be a bit much for some people.
- skinsfan0420August 1, 2025Not the greatest movie filled by filler
