Young women are being murdered by a masked killer who copies the look and killing style of a comic book character called Doctor Dark. The press turn on the comic publishers, accusing them of inciting the attacks, and the young artist (Giovanna), who draws the illustrations, starts to receive mysterious phone calls from a man claiming to be the murderer. As the killer closes in on Giovanna, police try and solve the mystery before it's too late.
