- youcantseeme81January 11, 2026I was never a fan of the Mad Max movies and this movie didn't appeal much to me the first time I watched it. HOWEVER, after subsequent viewings (initiated by others) I came to really enjoy this movie. Its actually rather thought provoking and the audio & visuals are superb so it gets a big boost if you have a nice set up for the viewing.

Watched with the wife and kids and it went over pretty well. Except my wife, who is O-, didn’t appreciate that we started referring to her as blood bag.

As a long-time fan, I wasn’t sure how they could reinvent Max without losing the essence of the character, but having him share the lead with Furiosa was a masterstroke. She serves as the emotional core and vital link into this newly expanded wasteland, giving the story fresh urgency and purpose. George Miller’s direction is breathtaking, delivering some of the most exhilarating practical effects and stunt work ever put on screen. The film’s relentless pacing, worldbuilding, and gritty aesthetic harken back to the originals while pushing the franchise into bold new territory. Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron ground the chaos with intense, memorable performances. Fury Road isn’t just a return—it’s a reinvention, and a brilliant one at that.

- ርልዪረJanuary 24, 2025Best film this decade for me, shows that Action cinema can be art too. Tom Hardy easily slips into Mel Gibson shoes as Max. Charlize Theron delivers her greatest performance. Action is top notch. 8 time Oscar winner, well deserved too.
- hairydemonOctober 11, 2025the day we can replace Tom Hardy with anyone else, (la bearded old mel Gibson would be great), then it will be rewatchable. He spoilt an amazing ride. Theron was perfect. He ruined it. We don't need a cosplayer in a Max film. Go back to Burning Man or find another cheesy gangster film to be in. And that day is coming soon... Otherwise a great film from the master of disaster, the ayatollah of rocknrolla - George Miller. Without Hardy, it would be 5 stars. BUT i would say the Black and Chrome version has pushed it up to 4 stars. Stunning!
