Episode 1:A ring at the front doorbell, a brutal robbery - out of nowhere, the life of teenager Alvin Malory is shattered. He barely survives with severe injuries and has been in a coma ever since. No motive, no suspects - the gruesome crime remains a mystery. Ten years later: After the murder of a young woman, a new lead is found in the victim's car: the same fingerprints of an unknown person as in the unsolved Alvin case. Detective Kate Linville would ideally like to involve then-investigator Caleb Hale, but her new boss Pamela Graybourne forbids any involvement of the suspended ex-police officer. The fact that an elderly woman is found dead at the same time, and whose caregiver Mila Henderson has disappeared without a trace, is something the Scarborough Police cannot connect. While witnesses and suspects go into hiding, Kate goes undercover at Dalina's dating agency, which isn't playing cards. When another murder occurs, the pressure on the investigators to stop a serial killer grows.Episode 2:Knife murders with no discernible motive: The only suspect so far is among the victims himself, and fingerprints in the teenager Alvin cold case lead to a death. Detective Sergeant Kate Linville and her boss Pamela Graybourne are faced with several mysteries in their hunt for a phantom. They discover connections between the victims from their school days. What happened back then that has now triggered a campaign of revenge? Witness Anna Carter becomes the focus of the investigation, and her boyfriend Sam Harris can't help much. Kate also wants to find out what the manipulative dating agent Dalina is hiding from her. While Kate stumbles upon information in the Alvin case that fatally eluded her predecessor Caleb Hale, Police Chief Pamela is pursuing another lead: The missing geriatric nurse Mila Henderson also attended the same school as the murder victims as a child. When Pamela locates the missing woman, Kate has no idea what danger awaits her careless boss and, very soon, herself.
