Marlies Nathusius and Hans Haeberling have known each other since childhood and have been close friends who share everything with each other ever since. But alarm bells suddenly start ringing when both their families think it is high time for an arranged marriage, obviously not to each other. To get out of it, they strike a bargain together. Despite both having a crush on someone else, they announce, much to the families' shock, that they are engaged to each other.
