Last Man Standing Ratings & Reviews
- Stairwaytothestars4d agoVery entertaining, and I was pleasantly surprised. Who will be THE LAST MAN STANDING?
- marshalseaAugust 18, 2025Overlooked little gem of a movie. Another of those based on Yojimbo/Red Harvest/Glass Key combination, and as such shares heritage with A Fistful of Dollars, and you can see the threads shared across. Bullets and men fly all over the set - stunts galore. It's a film that purposefully knows suspending reality to let Bruce unload 30 bullets from a set of 8 shooters is ridiculous but also allowing Bruce to do superhuman things. As for that score by Ry Cooder - how low can your baritone go? Brilliant stuff. Well worth your time if you want a precursor to Miller's Crossing, you can feel that that was inspired by this, just don't expect the best film you've ever seen. Did exactly what Walter Hill intended it to do.
- Joe OsJune 29, 2025Pretty sure they ripped this story off a Clint Eastwood spaghetti western and put it in the twenties.still cool tho, Bruce at his best...
