- RyezooMarch 15, 2025Incredible true story, mediocre movie. A solid cast is not given much to work with and characters are paper thin. I wish this movie was more fleshed out. I know they kept it close to the true story, but maybe stretching the truth here or there would of made for a way better movie.
- tatere2d agoIt's fine. Just because it's all very familiar doesn't mean it's not very effective as well. The ocean is just always bigger than I can understand.
- Gaumontfilmtalk3d agoWhat a crazy story! I don't know what's crazier the event or that it's based off a real job that real people do. You couldn't pay me enough to do that job! Solid performances by Woody Harrelson and Simu Lui with great camera work to get a feel of what it's like in the dark deep ocean! Good film!
- LTMcGill3d agoGreat movie based on a true story.
- Edward4d agoThis movie runs in real time for a good half of it and doesn't really seek to develop its characters. That said, the cast has a great dynamic with each other and the tension stays strong throughout. It is an excellent, uplifting story and a solid watch if you want something leaving you feeling warm on the inside.
- Snedaker21Hill5d agoHeart wrenching story, however looking at it as a whole, this is a very boring movie, but there are emotional/stressful moments that will keep your eyes to the screen praying for the best outcome. Good one time watch type of film.
- capitolfi5d agoIt's a helluva story. And for anyone with even the slightest bit of claustrophobia or fear of drowning, the anxiety of the situation will only add to an already tense buildup. The cast is great. They aren't flashy performances, but they don't need to be. They're just all doing their best to remain calm and solve the problem at hand. No bullshit theatrics or unnecessary fluff. The story speaks for itself. Parkinson does a solid job as well, managing to put you on the bottom of the sea right alongside the divers. As someone who probably can't hold their breath more than a minute or so on dry land, it is instantly uncomfortable. Dangerous job doesn't begin to describe it.
- Ensamhetens-biograf6d agoLove it! No evil sharks just an underwater accident! Really exiting!
