Lady Bird Ratings & Reviews
- Frank RiebleMarch 9, 2025“Lady Bird” is a bold and wonderfully fresh coming-of-age film that set off a whole firework of emotions in me. A story that’s been told a thousand times – and yet, it still hits you right in the heart every single time.
- mickerdooJuly 8, 2025A really raw, unromantic view of high school, mother/daughter relations and sex. Ronan, Metcalf, Letts and Feldstein crush it.
- astronautpngMarch 3, 2025At first I decided to watch it because of the incredible soundtrack it has. The plot grabs you from the beginning with a very well elaborated plot. The development of 'Lady Bird' is quite noticeable if we contrast it from the beginning to the end.
- RyezooFebruary 15, 2025Greta Gerwig and Saoirse Ronan. My god are they talented. I loved this movie. The acting was top notch all around. Ronan gave by far the best performance I've seen by an actress so far this year. This story really hit home for me and was so relatable. The dialogue felt so real and got me so invested in these characters. I wish the movie would of went on for another hour! I enjoyed how they played with cliches and how her main character evolved and learned from previous experiences. The only negative is I wish I got just a little bit more from the ending. I'm sure after a rewatch I'll love the last few minutes more. What an impressive directorial debut.
- James TangJanuary 17, 2025This was a good movie that should be great, but isn't. There are some genuinely great performances, funny bits and observations, interesting characters, but it never comes together in quite the way it should. I think the main issue I have is pacing. Despite being a dialog driven character piece, the movie moves at break-neck speed and never gives the audience time to breathe or reflect on anything that happens. There are emotional bits that really need space to land, but don't because we're already onto the next.
