Labyrinth
Directed by Jim Henson- Liam McMay 16, 2026I liked everything in the movie expect I did feel let down by David Bowie's part sorry to say.. I found him stiff, the songs and his singing weak, a bit panto really, and the whole codpiece thing is just funny and a bit inappropriate when you look into the meaning behind it. Anyway it maybe that l he was just given free reign to play it that way and some one else might find him charming. Otherwise the movie has lots of fun scenes with Jennifer Connelly and the muppets.
- LillyMarch 29, 2025This movie is elite. Like most kids watching this and growing up and watching it again I can see so much more of the story and characters then before. One of the best coming if age movies capturing a young lady learning hard truths and her own power. I think a part of me will always love the Goblin King. Sarah was so perfectly portrayed as a young woman not too in the know and not without childishness to grow out of, or embrace. You remind me of the babe. What babe? The babe of the power. What power? Power of voodoo. Who do? You do. Do what? Remind of the babe.
- BrightEmberMarch 18, 2026Quite the combination of odd, eerie, fantastical, and mixing it all in with quite (at the time) modern music. Labyrinth is certainly quite the relic. I doubt we'll see another like it again. I don't think it's an absolute masterpiece as many do, but it absolutely deserves acclaim, and to be remembered. The puppets, sets, and creativity of every scene and story beat, are at least, not overstated. There's definitely more to read into as well, with certain characters.
