Regie Eli RothEvan führt das perfekte Leben. Der Architekt lebt mit seiner talentierten Frau und den beiden gemeinsamen Kindern in einem wunderschönen Haus in Kalifornien, doch für das bevorstehende lange Wochenende muss er auf seine Familie verzichten. Denn seine Frau bricht nachmittags mit den Kindern zum Strand auf und lässt Evan zurück, der an einem Gebäudeentwurf arbeiten muss. Abends, während ein Sturm wütet, klopft es plötzlich. Zwei junge Frauen stehen vor seiner Tür und bibbern vor Kälte. Auf dem Weg zu einer Party haben sie sich verirrt und wurden dann noch zu allem Überfluss von dem Regen überrascht. Evan lässt Genesis und Bel rein und ahnt noch nicht, welche schrecklichen Konsequenzen seine Gastfreundschaft für ihn haben soll. Denn nachdem sie ihn erst verführen, beginnen sie, ihm das Leben zur Hölle zu machen.

The premises are pretty much the same, but in Knock, Knock it has a more serious approach. Also, I keep joking to myself that this is the unofficial prequel to John Wick. But yeah worth watching

- tellum18. August 2025This is a very polarizing movie because it comes down to 2 main concepts; do you sympathize with Keanu, and do you like his freakout later in the movie. If you answer No on both then you won’t like it, and without spoiling I can’t give more context than that, so in deciding whether you even want to watch this depends on if you’re willing to take a risk with your own time.

One moment in the movie was one of the most cringeworthy scenes I've seen in a long long time. Poor Keanu. But the movie has some kind of strange... entertainment value though.
