Maria Jansson is an accomplished barber and a teacher in a barber college in Tyresö. , Stockholm. Every other month she travels to Åkersvängen, a home for the disabled north of Mariehamn on the Åland Islands where she grew up. She travels to giver her brother and his friends a new haircut. This movie depicts one of those occasions.
