All Gary wants is to make awesome home movies with his best buds. All his older sister Samantha wants is to hang with the cool kids. When their parents head out of town one Halloween weekend, an all-time rager of a teen house party turns to terror when aliens attack, forcing the siblings to band together to survive the night.

    This adolescent creature feature has some Monster Squad vibes and is generally pretty fun. Some moments the acting is very well done; other moments, not so much.  Same goes for story. Same goes for the creature effects. I think that’s kind of exactly what I was expecting for this, so it works pretty well. I will say that this film goes pretty hard with the profanity. It permeates the entire film. That might make it even more enticing for 12 year olds. I know I probably would have loved it when I was a 12 y/o.  My youngest probably would have been too scared to watch all of this though. So though I enjoyed it, it’s kind of a hard recommendation to make as a family movie. Adolescents would probably get a kick out of it, but parents and younger kids, maybe not so much.
