Josh Brolin is great as the lead, John Malkovich and Fassbender are good as the bad guys, and Megan Fox was still smokin' hot when she was younger. I enjoy re-watching this one occasionally.

It’s part supernatural western, part revenge thriller, and part comic-book fever dream. And somehow, that mix kinda works… in its own twisted way. The movie doesn’t waste time, it’s short, punchy and packed with shootouts, explosions, and steampunk contraptions. Sure, the story feels stitched together like a Frankenstein monster. It’s like a pulp comic brought to life with a whiskey-soaked grin. Would I call it a masterpiece? No. But would I watch a sequel if they leaned harder into the supernatural and gave Hex more room to breathe? Absolutely. There’s potential here, and I’d love to see it unleashed with a bit more finesse. Jonah Hex is messy, moody, and mad, but if you’re in the mood for a stylized western with a supernatural twist, it’s worth a shot. Just saddle up with low expectations and enjoy the ride.
