Keanu Reeves is once again outstanding as the relentless John Wick, and the fight choreography is top-notch, with some of the best action scenes I've seen in any movie. The cinematography and visual style are also impressive, giving the film a sleek, polished look. The only reason I’m not giving it five stars is that the plot feels a bit thin at times, and the pacing slows down slightly in the middle. However, the film more than makes up for it with its intense, adrenaline-pumping sequences. If you're a fan of the first movie or love action films in general, John Wick: Chapter 2 is definitely worth watching!

The film attempts to create a legend of a charismatic hero, but everything here is artificial, posed, calculated, cold and full of nonsense (a jacket that is bulletproof, a crowd that completely ignores a shootout; violinists, beggars, and ultimately the whole world are highly trained assassins belonging to a secret organisation who are after John Wick's life, etc.). All the characters mention and know the legendary John Wick, but somehow I don't feel his charisma. Is it Reeves' fault? PS. I liked the dog from the first film better.

The NPC effect where everyone is non-reactive or oblivious to a random gun fight is almost distractingly silly but it's essentially a live-action video game. Not sure why they casted Common in this movie. He's punching above his weight significantly. The gun porn is of course what everyone really came to see so everyone get your Gucci Glocks out...
- Walter Jospeh Kovacs2 novembre 2025While some of the actions scenes were tightly choreographed, everything else was empty; just cringe and cliché. All the action sequences for the franchise could be compiled into a twenty minute short with nothing lost. Shame. I like Reeves. This is what you get when the director is a stuntman. The franchise gets higher rates than it deserves because modern (young audiences) aren't as discerning - they like low-attention-span stuff that doesn't require critical thinking. Why am I complaining about the audience and not the movie? It's the audience that have elevated the franchise well above where it should be. Some people have rated this five stars as in the best of movies. Go watch movies from Spielberg, Scorsese, Tarantino, Kubrick, Nolan to recalibrate your judgement against what a superb movie is and stop artificially inflating movie ratings so that more people waste their time with mediocre filler. It isn't a choice between action and good drama, the two can coexist in a movie.

- NonPlayableContent5 febbraio 2025Besides the clearly inaccurate guns in public not being audible or no one screaming in the crowds at dead bodies they made the fights and deaths feel grounded in reality. Our protagonist felt in genuine danger and Mr.Wick plays off some characters better than others. But I think we can all enjoy the world building and the over acting.
