It: Chapter Two Ratings & Reviews
- netaware6d agoCould have been better. A lot of the flashbacks. I needed to see it after watching Welcome to Derry series
- Harish CousalDecember 15, 2025Bigger and more emotional, but less focused than the first. The adult cast works, even if the scares feel uneven. Moments hit hard, others overstay their welcome. Still enjoyable, just not as sharp as Chapter One
- wondertrotDecember 8, 2025Too long, eventually I just got numb to the scary parts and a bit bored, then the ending felt almost goofy. Just too long I guess.
- levi4201December 7, 2025Wow the power of friendship sure is strong
- zappy.December 4, 2025A good follow-up to the previous film. Exposé and world building is excellent. There is a truly immersive story here, and I found myself thoroughly spooked by some of the villain’s gags. The ending was a bit… funny. A good addition to the franchise, nonetheless.
- LD_50November 12, 2025It: Chapter 2 has a lot of potential in the continuation of the It story. But it is bogged down by tonal inconsistencies that make for a movie that isn't quite as scary as the first and has some unintentionally funny moments that kill the tension. The long runtime is very felt given the pacing as the movie becomes a glorified treasure-hunt, which at times, feels very anticlimactic throughout the movie. At the same time, It the titular clown, almost takes a back seat in a movie where The Losers' whole mission is to kill It. Instead, a lot of the scares are in the form of CGI monsters, while impressive technically, seem to be over-relied on and overused to scare the audience (which it doesn't do a great job at). It: Chapter 2's strong points are in its directing, generally decent performances, and fairly coherent writing. However, it is unfortunately bogged down by inconsistent tone and overuse of CGI, combined with a very long runtime that is not helped by the pacing. There is a lot of potential here, but a fairly okay watch despite its shortcomings.
- EugeneNovember 8, 2025Chapter one was better. I feel like there were some continuity inconsistencies too.
- Rob WatkinsNovember 5, 2025Awesome sequel!
- foxlightningOctober 31, 2025Loved this series ending a bit cringe but better than the original ending for sure
- Luke EricksonOctober 31, 2025I think part 1 was better but this was a fun ride.
- HumptyFebruary 23, 2025Uh are we still gonna float?
- tigerp12October 11, 2024OMG I love how scary it is 10/10
- CoougeSeptember 14, 2025It’s not scary at all. More like comedy.
- Nathan MagretaOctober 30, 2025I still prefer the first one, but this film is scary, fresh, and worthy of the title, "It: Chapter 2"
- Connor Is SwagJuly 15, 2025I usually don’t like sequels to movies that already had a good ending, but this was immaculate
