- Ajay15 februari 2026It's a great movie, don't get me wrong - but it falls into the stererotype of 90's flicks that present a grave threat to Earth, and are solved through sheer willpower, science and realism be damned. Of course, I'm not expecting anything super detailed or thought provoking, since it's Emmerich on alien invaders, but the cheesy good ending and "huzzah for mankind" really trivialises the impact of the threat.

Couldn’t resist grabbing the DVD later, because this kind of popcorn chaos deserves a permanent spot on the shelf. Loud, silly, and still the ultimate Fourth of July firework show.
