Independence Day Ratings & Reviews
- SALVO GERMANYMarch 1, 2026Independence Day hits like a cinematic pre-workout: loud, bold, zero hesitation. Will Smith brings pure swagger while Roland Emmerich goes full destruction mode. A bit dated, but the energy still slaps. Big scale, big speeches, big alien chaos. When I want spectacle without overthinking, this is the one.
- ርልዪረJanuary 27, 2025Let's kick the tires and light the fires, big daddy!
- jnltejashaciendaApril 19, 2025Go 'Merca, best those aliens
- tomisto7November 22, 2025AMAZING!!! GOD BLESS THE U.S.A!! HOORAHHHHHHHHHH!!!
- Joshua DentJuly 4, 2025A Fourth of July classic
- Karin e BorisMarch 1, 2026My childhood movie marathon continues. In a moment when the "export of American democracy" (and his warmongering way of doing it) is such a timely topic, how could we not celebrate the 4th of July with the arrogance typical of this movie? Make America human again
- mickerdooJuly 5, 2025All of the alien action, great casting and cheesy one liner catchphrases that make for a true classic.
- AjayFebruary 15, 2026It's a great movie, don't get me wrong - but it falls into the stererotype of 90's flicks that present a grave threat to Earth, and are solved through sheer willpower, science and realism be damned. Of course, I'm not expecting anything super detailed or thought provoking, since it's Emmerich on alien invaders, but the cheesy good ending and "huzzah for mankind" really trivialises the impact of the threat.
- Zbigniew CzachorOctober 28, 2025Greatest speech in the movie's history!
- ronniej962February 13, 2026Never gets old
- Tommy WoernerFebruary 8, 2026It's a wonderful 90s action-comedy if your expectations are set appropriately.
- vilhemJanuary 26, 2026Certified Hood Classic. Forever and always.
- runinhotJuly 27, 2025Accurate description of the events of July 4th, 1996. Now a worldwide holiday. We thank the brave men who defended our planet.
- TronauticJanuary 9, 2026Masterpiece from old good days!
- ZokkiieJanuary 1, 2026This is classic 90s chaos in all the best ways. The story and ending are kinda flimsy, but who cares when the explosions and alien ships look this good? The remastered 4K version makes it feel bigger and flashier than ever. Totally ridiculous, totally fun, and a blast to watch—even if it doesn’t make much sense
