At its core, I'm Thinking of Ending Things is not a film; it's an act of aggression against its audience, a smug exercise in cinematic masturbation that glaringly mistakes obscurity for depth. The film is so drenched in pretentiousness that it becomes loathsome, using philosophical name-dropping and literary references not to explore ideas, but to create an insiders club that leaves the average viewer feeling mocked for their inability to decipher the "puzzle". Self-Indulgent Drivel Disguised as Art!!! Do not waste your time on this yiddite doozy.

- sopula2026年1月14日i'm not one to decipher a "dream" movie so on first watch it was a very weird, pretty funny little nonsense surreal comedy but after being told what the story actually is and then re-watching it I enjoyed it a lot more, all of the strange nonsense made perfect sense and I feel like I almost completely understand the character's whole life. a big bag of fun
