IF Ratings & Reviews
- Kevin WardJuly 1, 2025IF is wholesome and cute with a tenderhearted message, but lacked the emotional punch to elevate this above the standard family animated movies. All three of my kids enjoyed it, my daughter even cried by the end, but I found myself a bit bored, particularly in the middle. This felt like the emotional center of the film was driving towards reconnecting people with their IF. I wanted more of connection with the, you know, non-imaginary characters. When the film opens, it really felt like we were headed towards an emotional rollercoaster with a young family navigating through tragedy and heartbreak. Every time it felt like we were going to dive into something deeply emotional, I felt like the film pulled back as they were afraid to get too dark or heavy. Aside from that, I can’t really say anything bad about the film. It was enjoyable. It just really didn’t hit me as emotionally as I thought it was going to when it started.
- romanandbarbaraJanuary 26, 2025Okay movie but really flat
- DdoughnutMay 20, 2025This feels like a Pixar movie, and in a good way.
- azzaismeMarch 31, 2025A movie with a whole lot of heart
- KabraxistFebruary 22, 2025An overused story told once more, but this time without any integrity.
- 匚卂尺ㄥFebruary 11, 2025This film is an amalgamation of two film plots. One being similar to all those films about young people who have had some traumatic experiences which make them withdraw and handle their problems with imaginary friends they create themselves. Put this storyline with Jack Black's Goosebump's! Both melancholy. Plus all the characters are animated expect one which also (for me) was an error.
- RyezooFebruary 4, 2025It just feels like a rip off of Foster’s home for imaginary friends. It’s just meanders and is uninteresting. I just didn’t really care for it. Hopefully that’s John Krasinski’s last foreigh into family entertainment. And shocker once again Ryan Reynolds is Deadpool again.
- DcrBaneOctober 14, 2024Hood wholesome movie for the family
- BigAbouALOctober 9, 2024It was okay, a nice kids movie but nothing special. Ryan plays a more serious role than his usual funny.
- James KearneyDecember 3, 2024An okay kids film I guess, but it's not my type.
