I Was a Man
Directed by Barry MahonA hermaphrodite who has struggled to act the role of a man, going so far as to join the merchant marine, finds that it is hopeless to continue. He is unable to play the male role in relationships with women, and he feels the desire to dress in women's clothing. Finally, in desperation, he undergoes a sex change operation and thereafter finds happiness as a woman.
