If you don't think BDSM is funny there are two laughs and a manual on how not to be a Dom to find here. The movie presents domestic abuse as BDSM just because it's woman to man and not the other way around. I don't get why this is so highly rated. This is just glorified abuse.
  • Cooper Hoffman I get it bub I really do. I mean ever since I saw TRON: Legacy I get it
  • I was looking for a raunchy comedy and this did not deliver. Where did all the Raunchy comedies go? Bridesmaids was the last one that I remember and that was 2008. There must be a more recent one? This movie was not funny but it was way random.

Regal changed my showtime and auditorium so I missed the beginning of the movie and sat in the worst spot apparently. A dude next to me literally sounded like he was getting off the whole time. Making loud moans and other noises and talking loudly to himself about nothing. He also put his bare feet through the arm rests mere inches away from me and I was utterly fucking disgusted. Never been so close to saying something to a random fucking middle-aged adult at a movie Jesus Christ. I posted it in the Regal Unlimited subreddit lmao LOVED the Goo t-shirt Love that Cooper came around on his dad finishing on camera in Happiness so much so he decided to do it in this lmao Sensational casting. Didn’t even realize that was Daveed! Smh James Duval still adorable Charli was such a lovely surprise. Cant wait to watch this again from the beginning so I know what I missed So sad about Apple. Watched at Warren Regal East _____________ Watch #2 “You could be famous by association! Like Travis Kelce!” Abbott Kinney Boulevard (It’s a play on Sunset Boulevard) Much better experience the second time lmao Extremely funny and sexy! Such an incredible, eclectic cast. Sensational acting from Cooper, Olivia, and Chase. Olivia Wilde summer killing. Also I am praying for Cooper’s hairline Excited to see all three of them in the new season of The Studio! (I’m just assuming) Naming Charli XCX’s character “Minerva” is hilarious to me. She is such a hot b*tch I want Daveed to say “It’s Clipping, bitch” just one time in a major motion picture. Johnny & Cho are an amazing pairing Exceptional score / soundtrack! Refuse to believe that is not Corbin singing during the Minerva break-up scene Erika’s philosophy on art in the interview is the same as Ugly Mane. “Say, ‘His style is very painterly’, but painting's not an art / Art is tricking you with statements that the painter's painting art.” I was even wearing a LUM shirt during the screening! I wonder if Gregg Araki is a fan! Took me two watches to ensure I heard correctly, but there is a completely random Wilhelm scream during the last sex scene and I’m so fucked up about it. So genuinely hilariously out of place. Still think the Goo shirt is my fav part. That album is just so good lol Still feel so bad for Apple. Breaks my heart I do wish Gregg would bring back some of the spectacular shots and colors that made his early films so vibrant. Realism is just a little overrated Love how the most terrible person wins! Very realistic how the shittiest people will step on everyone to get to (and stay at) the top! Watched at Warren Regal 21 Currently Ranked #16/131 in 2026 Ranked (I had to put it right next to The Invite lol)

Ok seriously. What's so funny and wonderful about this movie? If the boss was a man and he did all this to his female assisstant, would that be ok? Would this movie be funny and wonderful? Abuse is abuse, regardless the gender of the boss.

A Fine Provocation Gregg Araki returning after more than a decade away comes with real expectations, especially with a title this deliberately provocative attached to it. "I Want Your Sex" wants to be a defiant, colorful rebuke to a culture that's grown increasingly squeamish about desire, and there's genuine ambition in that mission statement. The frustrating part is how much safer the execution ends up feeling than the premise promises. The two leads carry most of the weight and do it well. There's a nice imbalance to the central dynamic, one performer playing wide eyed and reactive, the other bringing a jaded, magnetic confidence that dominates every scene she's in. The chemistry works precisely because of that contrast, and the supporting cast adds enough color and comic timing to keep things lively even when the central relationship starts running out of places to go. Visually it's exactly as candy colored and stylistically loud as you'd expect from this director, full of playful production design and sartorial flourishes that give the whole thing a heightened, almost cartoonish energy. It's a fun world to spend time in, even when the story wandering through it starts to feel thin. The writing is where the ambition and the execution part ways. The satire aimed at contemporary sexual anxiety and the art world's self seriousness is more playful poke than genuine skewering, gesturing at bigger ideas about intimacy and performance without digging into them with much bite. It is breezy and funny more often than it's actually incisive. Fun, colorful, and well performed, but a film with this title and this pedigree behind it should probably leave more of a mark than it does. Entertaining in the moment, forgettable shortly after.

As far as I can see everything in this movie has been done before and failed. Why do it again?? Learn your lesson people.

I really didn't like this film. It just didn't land for me at all. I didn't connect with the acting, I didn't really like the story, and even the way the movie is structured left me wondering what exactly it was trying to do. I understand that there is supposed to be more going on underneath all the sex the ideas about power, relationships, different generations and how we look at sexuality BUT I never really connected with any of it. Instead, I found the whole thing silly without being particularly funny or interesting. And honestly, if what you're looking for is an erotic movie, you'd probably be better off watching an actual erotic movie. This one seems to want to be a sex comedy, a thriller, a mystery and a commentary on modern sexuality at the same time, but for me none of those sides worked particularly well. Summary, it didn't work for me from beginning to end.

Critics who gave this crap 91% rating either fantasize about Olivia Wilde or are taking what her heroine in the movie does. Or just heroin. This movie is neither comedy, nor drama.

STAY THROUGH THE CREDITS THERE ARE BLOOPS! Loved this movie, 1/2 a star off because Olivia Wilde puts on clothes for 2 minutes halfway through. Cooper is his Father's son, he very good and vulnerable in this, a tough role. "You look like an Assassin in a Netflix Yakuza movie." "Is that good or bad?" 😂😂😂 Need more of the roommate! *Later* nice 😍 The French girl scene is great. Minerva is not a well-acted part and I didn't find out til the credits that it's Charli XCX lol 🤷, at least her new boyfriend has a high-tier dong, like, if you found his dong in a loot crate it would be orange or purple and make a special sound effect. I have more to say about that dude's Ultra-Rare/Epic hog than I do Minerva. 🍆 Charli XCX looks like a [REDACTED] Gal Gadot, regardless, they share an acting range 🤣🥸....Damn her real name is my mother's name....now to think of it, my mom's friends called her Charlie 🤯 No way Cooper didn't get a rock hard, throbbing, irl, veiny boner while folded over on Olivia Wilde's lap and getting spanked....that's just science....they both probably got bruises and/or sticky. 💦

Fun enough story, only hampered by the extremely odd choice of male lead.
