Finally what you want to happen to the bad guy does. Great cat and mouse roles by the right actors. Plus blindsides along the way.

Another classic Korean thriller vibe, but this one didn’t fully pull me in. It felt kinda repetitive at times and some parts were a bit empty or dragged out. Still, there were a few moments that really stood out and made it worth watching.

4 stars, especially for that head-finding scene in the beginning; could've given 5 but the army truck scene came out of the blue, felt unnecessary and was left unresolved and the character played by Kim In-seo wasn't a well written one, had vague intentions

Been meaning to cross this off the Shame List for a while. F🤩kin loves this. Stylish and moody revenge thriller. Absolutely loved some of the shots. The 360 taxi fight scene….😱 holy sh🤩 such an incredible sequence. Absolutely killer ending too.

Gripping, Gruesome, and Unforgettable "I Saw the Devil" is a relentless and emotionally charged thriller that flips the revenge genre on its head. It's a beautifully shot and chillingly crafted film that pushes boundaries without losing narrative control. The direction by Kim Jee-woon is sharp and confident, and the performances-especially from Choi Min-sik and Lee Byung-hun-are absolutely gripping. What makes this film stand out is its balance between brutal action and emotional weight. The tension never lets up, and while the violence is graphic, it serves the story and the psychological spiral the characters go through. It's disturbing, yes-but never aimless. That said, it's not an easy watch for the intensity can be overwhelming. But if you're ready for a dark, expertly crafted thriller that dives deep into the cost of vengeance, this one absolutely delivers. A visceral, smart, and unflinching descent into revenge-fueled madness.

Grabs you by the seat of your pants and doesn’t let go. Visceral, gory and downright brutal throughout. A revenge thriller with bite.
