Directed by Alice O'Fredericks and Jon IversenBente is a young office worker who is affected by the deadly and then feared disease tuberculosis. For a healing treatment, she is admitted to a sanatorium, where she soon meets three new friends - Teddy, Sejr and Gamle - and shares a room with the depressed Gerda. In the outside world, the disease is surrounded by many prejudices, which prove to have fatal consequences for the patients.
