Hurry Up Tomorrow Ratings & Reviews
- JeremyNZJune 8, 2025Hurry up and finish
- Austin BurkeMay 27, 2025What fans of The Weekend could describe as a can’t-miss fever dream, ultimately doesn’t expand beyond that bubble and fails to attract those who are blissfully unaware. There is a lot to like visually, but anything beyond that could only be described as an empty misfire… Too much inside baseball, and not enough to appeal to anyone looking for an interesting story.

- alejandrot927_July 8, 2025The Weeknd's "Hurry Up Tomorrow" movie shows a slight improvement in his acting since his HBO series "The Idol". The movie, which is based on a real incident he had in 2022 where he lost his voice on tour, is an amazing psychological thriller. There could've been more to it but overall, it was a great movie to watch.

- Darren WebsterJuly 5, 2025Okay, many of the othert reviews out there say this was like watching a long music video and in many ways that's correct, but also, Abel wrote it, produced it, and used his own music in it, so really, waht did you expect? Initially watching it felt like he was kind of trying to tell a story around his voice and the struggles he's had over the years with his voice due to the strain on his vocal chords. It moved away from that to being about a man disconnected from society and out of touch with the world around him and allowing his emotional pain to lash out at the world. Then it goes into what seems like a romance story only to be up-ended into a pretty searing self discovery of himself and his music and how much more it likely means to the people that hear his music than it does to him finally being capped off with an ending that leaves the viewer wondering "did all that just really happen?" Look, Abel's no Hollywood Movie genius, and tyhis maybe could have been done in 4 or 5 music videos, but honestly, this is pretty much perfect and pretty in line with his way fo creating. Also, Jenna shows the world why shes such a badass actress. She bloody well played her part to perfection.
- JGJuly 15, 2025Finished it and still not sure what it was about. No idea what Wednesday was as a character and Abel , love your music and everything but we missed here.
- VarunJuly 3, 2025Just felt like a really long music video but it was boring af, slowly dragging out its runtime while trying to convey the most basic challenges with fame in the most cringe way possible. You’ll learn more about The Weeknd’s feelings from one of his 3 minute songs than you will in this 105 minute film. Cinematography and visuals were nice but the dark and dreary nature just made me want this movie to end as quickly as possible. I’ll give it half a star for The Weekend singing the Hurry Up Tomorrow song which was beautiful. Even as a big fan of The Weeknd, I found this movie absolutely terrible. Guy managed to make something worse than The Idol lol.
- Thomas PacrosJune 21, 2025It could have been a music video of maybe 3 songs, for about 10 minutes.
- Shamus2kJune 18, 2025I’m an old Gen-X dude who hit play on Hurry Up Tomorrow not knowing what I was getting into. Right off the bat I’m thinking, “What the hell kind of music is this?” Then, “What kind of movie is this?” and “What’s even going on here?” But I noticed Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan early on—both excellent actors—and that probably kept me watching when I might’ve bailed. The whole thing felt a bit all over the place, but somehow it kept me engaged. By the end, I realized I’d watched the whole thing. Not bad, really. The Weeknd held his own—definitely better than I expected.
- Mr. DJune 12, 2025This movie has a lot of bad reviews. While it is a slow burn it does graduate into some intense and thoughtful moments. The acting was well done. I expected the audio to be more exceptional. It wasn't. All and all. A decent movie.
- cultfilmlikerJune 8, 2025Music: It only has to affect one person Artists 🙄🙄🙄 LIVE NATION PRODUCTIONS ??? - I mean, I really should have stopped there The title of this film has reminded me of Don’t Worry Darling the whole time and then the plot kinda did too! Essentially a lackadaisical feature-length The Weeknd concert film / music video disguised as a thriller about a relationship with a fan. Also an ad for Dawn FM lol but Abel should never be the main character in a film. Uncut Gems was a more reasonable amount of screen time. Adored the visuals and music for the first act. Really wish I had seen that in theaters. And then I could have left (full disclosure: the edible was hittin’) Not the worst film of the year but not good! Excruciatingly simple! The cinematography was nice!! I’ll watch (basically) any film Oneohtrix Point Never scores tbh
