Mickey Rourke once had a boxing match in Russia. His opponent was clearly supposed to take a dive, but Mickey had it in his head that he could cosplay Floyd Mayweather and kept a defensive stance refusing to throw a punch. They awkwardly danced around each other, the fall guy not throwing because he’s not supposed to, and Mickey not throwing because he’s a “slick” boxer. An eternity passed until the fall guy finally goaded Mickey into throwing a single bad punch, the fall guy threw himself to the mat and the ref furiously counted to ten. Fall guy leaps up after the loss and forced a hug on Mickey, who had the most confused look ever as he wasn’t clued into his own fixed fight. So this is only the second worse thing I’ve seen Mickey do.
